Email Assistant: Phishing & Spam Detection Platform (In Development)

Overview

Email Assistant is an in-development email analysis platform that detects phishing attempts, tracks sender reputation, identifies tracking pixels, and automates email organization. It aims to reduce manual email sorting time by an estimated 80%.

Problem

Email inboxes are increasingly cluttered with spam, promotional emails, and sophisticated phishing attempts. Tracking job applications, order statuses, and important correspondence across multiple threads is time-consuming. Existing solutions handle one aspect but not the full pipeline.

Solution

Building an AI-powered platform that scans inboxes via IMAP, categorizes emails using NLP, extracts order statuses from e-commerce platforms, tracks job application responses, and flags potential phishing attempts based on sender reputation and content analysis.

Technical Architecture

• Frontend: Next.js, TypeScript
• Backend: Node.js API routes
• Email Integration: IMAP/SMTP for inbox scanning and automated replies
• AI: NLP-based email categorization and phishing detection
• Notifications: WhatsApp and SMS integration for priority replies

Status

Core email scanning and job tracking modules are functional. Phishing detection and WhatsApp notification features are being implemented.
